Our Story

Where Good Food Meets Good Vibes – All Thanks to a Pug Named Smokee

It all started in 2022 with a food truck, a dream, and a dog. Not just any dog—Smokee, the pug with a big personality and an even bigger fan club. Inspired by our four-legged mascot’s love for bringing smiles to strangers’ faces, we hit the streets of Asheville, NC with a simple mission: spread joy through handcrafted, wood-fired pizza.

The community showed up for us—and we showed up with melty cheese, crispy crusts, and lots of love. What began as Smokee’s Pizza quickly turned into something more. In 2024, we planted roots with our first brick-and-mortar location: Smokee’s Breakfast & Lunch. Same passion, new flavors. From sunrise biscuits to mid-day melts, we’re now serving up comfort food for every craving.

Today, both locations roll up under one name: Smokee’s On The Creek. It’s more than just a brand—it’s our family, our hometown, and our way of giving back to the community that’s fueled our journey from truck to table.
